FOOT Overseas senior's camp

Haven't trekked for a long time before this so I was really looking forward to the trip. I'm really glad we decided to go xp! I enjoyed myself very much even though there was a SMALL age gap between us and the other little boys and girls who went.

Went shopping for food before the trip as usual, ODAC style. Look at the long list of food we bought! It's all thanks to Shun Zhang. Because he was striving to live the life of a 'royal' for this trip, we each had to pay S$12 as compared to other groups which probably paid $5 each. But I must say that the food we cooked was seriously GOOD! Can easily be as good as restaurant food! But we used up like half a bottle of oil or so just to deep fry all the food. Haha. I must've gained weight instead of losing any.

We were waiting... and waiting... for I'm not sure what.

So we could only take more photos!

The 'Royals'

A very cute bubbly buncha girls (my sis's age) whom I just got to know. All of 'em were lovely. From left to right: Ke Rui (Princess), Yi Rui (Ke Rui's lil sis), Na Fang and Ching

The gals plus a few young boys.

And we were finally on the bus to Kota Tinggi after a long long queue at the customs. That's Xp looking a lil sleepy from the lack of sleep the night before.

Us

The young ones and Yali (Yali's not as young haha

Guo Qiang and Shun Zhang

After about 2 hrs, we finally reached our destination - start of Pelepah. Due to some Malaysian military exercise at the originally planned campsite, we were forced to make alternative decisions. While the young ones were contemplating, of cos we had to be taking more photos!

It's not an easy task to take this picture ok! Must snap at the right moment. Haha. Gan looks like a jumping star and Xp looks like she's surrendering.

Two other lovely ladies, Rachel and Kailing, with Xp.

We were walking along the road to the other camp site nearer to Panti.

Love the silhouette of the bare tree against the sky.

I was trying to be discreet when taking this picture.

Finally reached the other camp site. They were having a briefing.
And there was an ice cream man there believe it or not! Most of us chose the lime flavoured ice cream with vanilla inside. Perfectly refreshing for a warm warm day!

Sadly, my Powershot went dead after this photo. Which explains why I decided to get my new Canon IXUS 950IS. A perfect excuse! Loved my A80 but it's gotta retire someday and it has already gone for many trekking trips with me and has served me well.

Anyway, if you are interested, go check out Shun Zhang's blog for more photos of the trek (beware of the excessive bitching there haha).
My new baby!!! A whole load of functions packed in a sleek Canon IXUS. Absolutely purrrrrfect!
