Reunited
Just some pictures of us taken right after he was back.
We went Geylang for a pretty good Mong Kok dim sum supper, cheap too!

Of cos, we had more than 3 long2 of dim sum but I didn't manage to take pictures of all cos I was busy stuffing myself.
We were at Central Mall at the Clarke Quay the other day. Clarke Quay sure has a pretty good night view. I'm amazed that there was not a single hint of hand shake seen in this picture taken in night mode, all thanks to the image stabilizer in my cam. *grins proudly*
We had some real good Hokkaido ice cream - green tea and sesame flavours - yum! Don't be deceived by the green and grey lumps that look like wasabi and cement respectively.
Totally savouring every moment of it.
Was just trying out a very useless function in my cam. Makes the lights turn into stars and hearts and even musical notes at your choice. *rolls eyes*
Came across this at Funan and decided to take some pics with it.

After 2 months
He's finally back safe and sound from Orlando! It's amazing how 2 months go by just like that. Felt like 2 years though, when I was still in the midst of it.
Many friends have related to me about how long distance relationships wouldn't last and I wouldn't disagree, really. I have a lot of thoughts about LDR after experiencing it for myself. Ain't a big deal you think, 2 short months, as compared to some others who've been separated for a year or even longer. But I think it could still be a testing period of time that may strengthen or break a relationship.
Nope, these past 2 months hasn't been hell or anything like that just cos he wasn't around. But it can be rough, sometimes it got a little lonely, unbearable and frustrating, like you're missing something. Not being able to contact each other as and when due to lack of internet connection, a cranky dormitory phone, expensive international call rates and busy work schedules on both sides, definitely didn't make things any easier.
When finally came the day I've so eagerly awaited, I felt a little apprehensive somehow, wasn't sure how to react when I first see him. Don't ask me, I haven't figured out why. And it really felt a little awkward at first. But it's pretty much back to normal now.
I've seen and heard and worried enough these past 2 months (as some of my close friends are aware). I couldn't say I have a relationship so strong nothing could cause it to falter cos I know it's not. I'm just thankful that mine's still going strong. Really glad those days of missing someone and crying myself to sleep are over for now. Yeah, I'm not as strong as some may perceive me to be and I won't pretend I am, heh. Hopefully, I won't have to go through it again, not even for a pretty Coach bag!
Shared some thoughts tonight. I hope everyone reading this will cherish their relationships (be it now or in future) and not do anything silly to hurt the one you love and end up regretting. Afterall, it's one in I-don't-know-how-many-billion chances that we get to meet our other halves eh!

Photography
I must admit I know little about photography. But I think I can still recognise a well-taken shot when I see one. On my way home from a short meet-up with Pei Shan and Wen Shan, I was pondering over how I should spend my Sat night. I was staring blankly into the sky when suddenly I had the idea of surfing the web for pictures of beautiful landscapes. A random search for pictures turned out to be a fruitful one.
I chanced upon the works of an absolutely talented Portugese photographer, Matilde B. Her photos are simply inspiring. Love ALL her pictures. They're all well-composed and the colours are really beautiful. Some of the shots she took are of little details that we will think are very ordinary, but she composes them such that they seem to be sending a message or telling a story. It's just amazing. It'd be such an honour if she could take my wedding pictures for me a few years down the road. Heh. Of cos, she's a pro who uses a pro cam.

I've originally uploaded some photos I was so impressed with to share with you all. But I believed I may have UNINTENTIONALLY violated some copyright rules in doing so (received an angry email from Matilde B. herself) and had to take the pictures off public status in my Flickr account which results in the pictures not being displayed here. No choice. Nonetheless, I seek her understanding that I'm just a newbie in Flickr and I don't have any ill intentions whatsoever. If she still thinks otherwise, there's really nothing much I can say.

Last Friday was Ling Shan's last day in the company. We had a great ktv session that night after work. Much as she hated the nature of our job, I'm sure Ling Shan was reluctant to leave such a fun bunch of school mates turned colleagues. I can foresee myself to be reluctant too when it's my turn to leave.
I'm sure the girl will be a good teacher. Ling Shan, I wish you all the best in your teaching career! Remember to come join us for gatherings in future if there are any!
