Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest
I just couldn't wait! Had to catch the sneak preview on Wednesday.
The Dinner
Dinner was at Crystal Jade.
I had a bad craving for the zha jiang mian there. The zha jiang mian my mom bought for me for dinner the day before couldn't satisfy that craving.
It had to be Crystal Jade's.
And how can we not have xiao long bao when we're at Crystal Jade.
You are entitled to a different opinion but my taste buds agree that, of all the xiao long bao I tried in Singapore, Crystal Jade still reigns.
Nope, not Ding Tai Feng for me.
The Movie
The part at the island full of cannibals was HILARIOUS!
Imagine the whole of Lido Theatre 2 laughing, cheering and clapping away!
Johnny Depp, or rather, Captain Jack Sparrow, is as charming, funny and witty as ever.
And I think the make-up people deserve lots of credit for making the characters so real.
Although there were memorable bits & pieces, I thought the flow of the whole plot could be a little smoother & more coherent.
Still, I loved it!
So for me, the movie is a 3.5/5! You must go catch it!
Some Suggestions
1. Try to refresh your memory by watching the first episode before watching the sequel. You will understand the characters better.
2. Watch in a big theatre. Best when it's full house.
So if you wanna go to places like Lido Theatre 1 or 2, you probably gotta book online to get the better seats.
Why? It's twice the kick watching with a big audience! Laugh and slap your thigh as loud as you want cos everyone will be doing the same!
2. You gotta buy some pop corn before going in!
What's a fun movie without pop corn??
Don't bother if you are watching Re-cycle though. You'll probably end up jumping up so hard the pop corn ends up all over the floor instead of your mouth. Haha.
Not that I've watched or am intending to watch it. I've a weak heart these days.
3. Take a picture with the posters or displays before or after the movie...
Just like we did! :)
