___ day

Lost for words at how __ today turned out. Gonna just put it here so I can remember there are not gonna be many such days (hopefully). You could click the X at the corner of the screen already, this story is gonna be quite long, don't wanna bore everyone.

It was pouring cats n dogs just before I left the house for work at 0745hrs. Decided to bring an umbrella, but realised it had already stopped raining when I got downstairs. Thought will just wait for the feeder bus to go to the other bus stop to take the premium bus instead of walking there. Waited for 15mins and no sight of the feeder bus. At 0800hrs, I knew I missed the premium bus already, so walked over to another bus stop to take another bus to the nearest MRT station. Traffic was super heavy and the other bus took another 10mins to arrive. Journey to the nearest MRT station took another 10mins, reached MRT station at 0820hrs. I know - 35mins to reach the nearest MRT station (which is actually really very very near). The station was really packed. Thankfully, I got a seat on the train. Reached office at 0905hrs (cos I realised I forgot to take breakfast packed by mom, so went to buy breakfast, I can't survive w/o breakfast) - late late late. Worked till 1200hrs and went for a nice lunch with 2 colleagues at Millenia Walk Bakerzinn Came back at 1400hrs, felt so sleepy staring at cheese. Not much progress with cheese at all (kept getting distracted by emails flying in and out of the mailbox) up till 1800hrs, came an ultimate email which totally broke my already almost non-existent momentum. Split operations - in view of the swine flu outbreak, we will all take turns working from home the next two days to test out the BCP. I guess it's good news that I get to work from home on Thur so I won't have to go thru the process of getting to work. Kinda just muddled the rest of the next 1hr 15mins before deciding to pack up and leave with a few others. The girls were all damn sick of work. Walked to the MRT station before deciding to share cab home with Dav, Ash and Jan. Cab driver was rude, drove so fast and his driving skills were terrible. To sum up, simply horrid! I felt like I was gonna throw up my breakfast and lunch when I finally got home. What a way to end a long long long day. Got a meeting tomorrow. That means more minutes to write. I hope I can even understand 70% of what's gonna transpire during the meeting. Glad that I have just watched 2hrs of dramas on Channel 8 and U. Cheered me up majorly. I should really go switch the IBM on now and continue cooking the cheese. I need a miracle, really. WHAT-A-DAY... *sigh*

p/s: Love my F21 goodies.

Head over heels in love

Presenting my new tech toy! Got it from the super packed IT show. Uber sleek, metallic, minimalistic, one heck of a notebook design. Even Sony Vaio with its better specs (almost in all aspects), couldn't win me over. Don't be mistaken, I haven't become one of those Mac evangelists, I still love Windows. I'm really just a sucker for such simple, no frills kinda gadgets... I've pretty much gotten use to the new OS but cos I also got Windows installed, there's always an alternative :) Bye to good ol' Fujitsu, it has served me well for almost 4 yrs!

Anyways, pictures pictures! All taken from the Macbook website! The real thing looks as good as the pictures!

Handyman

I was just watching this particular episode of Desperate Housewives Season 5, which talked about this handyman who passed away when he was just about to retire. The episode recapped on how he had made an impact on the lives of each of the housewives at some of the lowest points of their lives.

After finishing the very touching episode, I was lying on my bed and looked around my room... I realised that almost every piece of furniture had been fixed by dearest him... my new wardrobe, blinds on my shelves, table, curtains, table lamp, small drawers, swivel for the tv, bedside table... I feel so grateful and blessed. Thank you, dear :)

When XP came back for CNY

Had a mini steamboat gathering at XP's house when she came back for CNY. One of the more cozy OAC gatherings we've had in recent years. =)

XP brought many different types and sizes of sausages back haha (and these are merely a few of the thousands of types of sausages, right xp?). So symbolic of Germany.

Cute

Don't ask me why Gan always has some weird expression on his face when taking pictures.

Celebrating the birthdays of 2 people.

There they are.

Gan and his usual sadistic look.

Haha.

Love the next few pictures taken by XP's mom, who wanted to capture some candid moments. Quite nicely done I must say! :)

Yes, yes will post on facebook. Don't start threatening to kill me for not sharing! =P
